In-House Land Survey Drafter

We are hiring an experienced, detail-oriented Land Survey Drafter to work on-site at our San Antonio office. You will transform field data into accurate survey plats using Carlson Survey or AutoCAD Civil 3D, prepare title blocks, and produce clean CAD deliverables to our company standards. This is an in-house, full-time role with direct collaboration with our lead surveyor.
Core Responsibilities
- Draft precise survey plats and plats-of-survey from raw field data.
- Prepare title blocks, legal descriptions, and PDF deliverables per Alliance standards.
- Clean and connect linework, label features, and check for geometric consistency.
- Communicate directly with the lead surveyor for clarifications and quick revisions.
Qualifications
- Proficiency with Carlson Survey preferred; AutoCAD Civil 3D also acceptable.
- Solid knowledge of boundary, title, ALTA, topo, and as-built survey conventions.
- Strong attention to detail, neat linework, and reliable time management.

What will I be drafting?
You’ll convert raw field data into precise CAD drawings: title surveys, lot surveys, form surveys, as‑builts, topographic contours, and more. Each deliverable follows our company standards for title blocks, linework, and annotations.
Do I need my own software?
We provide a fully‑licensed copy of Carlson Survey. If you prefer AutoCAD Civil 3D, you can use your own license. Either way, you’ll have the tools you need to work efficiently.
How am I compensated?
This is a 1099 contractor role. You earn a percentage of each job’s contracted rate and are paid bi‑weekly. We’ll invoice you based on completed drafts and field notes.
Where do I work?
You work in person at our local office.
